Here are a couple of snapshots from me editing my project. I like the idea of using colour as a way to show the act of remembering. I’m excited to degrade the photos so that the effect is even stronger. In Hito’s essay I like the words “As it accelerates, it deteriorates” I found that to be similar to memory except we are able to remember things more clearly with the help of our friends or even technology and photos—I am thinking about adding an audio component to my project that plays with the idea of how a memory can go from very unclear, to very clear when discussed with the person you share the memory with—the act of remembering “ have in or be able to bring to one's mind an awareness of (someone or something that one has seen, known, or experienced in the past).” I want my project to reflect this act. I also might play with the idea how memory can be distorted—how I may remember this moment with purple skies vs my friend who remembers pink—Or the concept of merging other memories into one—creating a muddy blur—and maybe finding resolution.
